FAQs

  • A Marital Intensive is intended to provide an extensive amount of information in a brief amount of time. Counseling can take a long time to build comfort with your counselor, understand, and cover important areas of therapy in order to create progress. When you and your spouse need immediate help or hope to evade a crisis within your relationship, then time is of the essence. The Marriage Knot Intensive provides 20 hours of face-to-face and one-on-one with both Dr. Bryan and Susan Duncan over a 2 ½ day period.

  • The Marital Intensive is $2500 for the whole weekend. When signing up for the Marriage Knot Intensive you will receive an offer of four follow-up sessions for $500 more, and these sessions can be used within the first six months after you attend the marital intensive.

  • The cost of the Intensive covers your time with two professionals, materials provided, your 2-3 night stay in the Marriage Knot’s AirBnB, snack/drinks throughout the intensive, as well as a light breakfast and lunch gift card to use downtown Bryan.

  • We currently do not provide any scholarships through our company. We do encourage you to talk to family, church, or friends to invest in your marital success.

  • The intensive experience is intended to be a one-on-one experience with one couple at a time. The workshops will have other couples present.

  • A crisis in your relationship could entail specific or many things. If you are contemplating divorce, struggling with communication regularly, have experienced infidelity in your marriage, or other things that are threatening your marriage, then your relationship is in crisis.

  • Couples counseling is something we believe in and practice. The difference is the time frame that you gain insights into the relationship. Couples counseling can take time to learn and implement the insights gained. With the Marriage Knot, you will leave equipped with information to create a major change in your relationship and maintain that change.

  • Our curriculum and training materials follow scripture, and the Bible is used throughout. We do believe that if you can attend if you are not comfortable w/ a faith-based approach, but if you have questions or concerns please contact us to get a better understanding.
